FASTag is a chip that is similar to the RFID tags which car companies place in a sticker on the windshield. You can open a prepaid FASTag account put in money so that the account is usable. You can keep reloading money in this account as long as you need to if you are going on a trip or trips that require you to pass through tolls. There will be FASTag lanes demarcated for every toll across the country.
