2 mins Read | 5 Days Ago
FASTag has revolutionised toll payments in India by expediting the procedure and improving convenience. Uploading important documents such as your vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC) is necessary to keep your FASTag updated and active. If you don't finish this step, your FASTag can be deactivated, making it difficult to make toll payments.
In this blog, we will guide you on the significance of submitting your vehicle’s RCl. We will also provide steps on how to upload RC in a FASTag Account.
The Registration Certificate, also known as the RC, is a document provided by the Regional Transport Office (RTO). It acts as proof that your vehicle has been lawfully registered in your name and is permitted to be operated on roads in India. The RC provides information about your vehicle. Some of the details include:
License plate number
Chassis number
Number of the engine
Registration date
Type of vehicle
Submitting your vehicle’s RC plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of your FASTag Account for smooth functioning. Here’s why it is important:
RC confirms the ownership of the vehicle. It helps connect your FASTag to the vehicle accurately.
According to the government rules, every vehicle using FASTag must have an RC along with all the related documents for verification purposes.
Ensuring that you upload the RC document ensures that your vehicle’s FASTags are safeguarded against fraudulent activities like tag misuse or cloning.
Neglecting to upload your RC document could result in your FASTag Account getting deactivated and causing inconvenience when making toll payments.
