UPI: Recharge your Surat Money Card via UPI. The UPI ID of your Card is: Suratmoney.<10 digit registered mobile number><Last four digits of Card Number>@icici.

For example: If your registered mobile number is 9999999999 and the last four digits of your Surat Money Card Number are 1234, you can reload the Card via UPI by sending funds to the UPI ID Suratmoney.99999999991234@icici to top up your Card.

What is the Surat Money Card?

Surat Money Card is a Prepaid Card presented to you by ICICI Bank and Surat Municipal Corporation. This Card enables you to make cashless payments in the city of Surat. So, forget the hassles of carrying change, make payments with ease and track your expenses with this Card.

What if my Card is lost, stolen or damaged?

If your Surat Money Card is lost, stolen or damaged, you need to immediately block the Card by calling Customer Care on 1800 266 9849. You can apply for a refund in case your Card has balance on it. Please carry one KYC document (PAN Card / Aadhaar Card) and a cancelled cheque to verify your identity and bank account for processing the refund of the balance amount. You can visit any of the below centres to apply for a refund:

  • Surat Municipal Corporation, Main Office, Mughal Sarai

  • Bhestan Civic Centre

  • Adajan Civic Centre

  • VED Civic Centre      

  • Nana Varachha Civic Centre.

Where can I use my Surat Money Card?

The Card can be used to make payments for:

 

  • Tickets and passes of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) and City Bus 
  • Tax and bill payments at Municipal Corporation (SMC) Civic Centres 
  • Shopping and restaurant bills
  • E-commerce transactions.

 

Where can I get my Surat Money Card? What are the issuance charges?

Issuance of the Surat Money Card has been temporarily suspended until further notice. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

How can I recharge my card? Is there a minimum or maximum limit for recharge?

You can recharge your Card using UPI or the online Customer Portal. You can also recharge it by paying cash at BRTS station counters and designated Civic Centres of Surat Municipal Corporation. The first-time recharge has to be of a minimum amount of ₹ 100. Subsequent recharges can be in multiples of ₹ 50. The maximum balance that your Card can have is ₹ 10,000.

How can I use the balance on my Card?

There are 2 types of balances on your Card:

  • The total balance on your Card (called ‘Total Account Balance’)

  • The balance on your Card that is available for the purpose of travel on BRTS & City Bus buses (called ‘Card Balance’).

You can use the Total Account Balance for all routine payments like shopping, at restaurants etc. The Card Balance can be used for travel purposes.

What is the validity of this card? What happens to my balance after the card expires?

This Card has a validity of 5 years. Post Card expiry, you may hand over the physical Card at any of the below outlets. Please carry one KYC document (PAN Card / Aadhaar Card) and a cancelled cheque to verify your identity and bank account for processing the refund of the balance amount on your Card.

What should I do once my Card balance is zero or I am unable to use my Card?

Once your Card balance is zero or you are unable to use your Card, you may choose to reach out to any of the following outlets for Card submission:

  • Surat Municipal Corporation, Main Office, Mughal Sarai

  • Bhestan Civic Centre

  • Adajan Civic Centre

  • VED Civic Centre      

  • Nana Varachha Civic Centre.

If your Card has any balance, you must carry one KYC document (PAN Card / Aadhaar Card) and a cancelled cheque to verify your identity and bank account for processing the refund of the balance amount on your Card.

What should I do if my Card is not working and I still have balance on my Card?
