Transactions at ICICI Bank ATMs:

First 5 transactions (Financial and non-financial) in a month - Free

Thereafter, ₹23 per financial transaction and ₹8.50 per non-financial transaction.

Yes, banks have set a limit for cash withdrawal by customers. The cash withdrawal limit for use at the ATM of the issuing Bank is set by the Bank during the issuance of the card.

For cash withdrawals at other bank ATMs, banks have decided to maintain a limit of ₹10,000 per transaction. This information is also displayed at the ATM locations.

Transaction charges applicable at non-ICICI Bank ATMs are:

1. First 3 transactions (Financial and non-financial) in 6 metro locations (Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad) in a month - Free
2. First 5 transactions (Financial and non-financial) in all other locations in a month - Free
3. Maximum of 5 transactions are free in a month with a cap of 3 free transactions in 6 metro locations

Thereafter, ₹23 (exclusive of Goods and Services Tax) per financial transaction and ₹8.50 (exclusive of Goods and Services Tax) per non-financial transaction

These charges are subject to revision.

An ATM Card is used primarily for cash withdrawals at ATMs. However, a Debit Card can be used for cash withdrawals at ATMs, as well as for purchases online or at retail outlets through direct debit of your linked bank account.

To generate a PIN for your ICICI Bank Debit Card please follow the below steps.

PIN generation through ATM:

Step 1: Insert you’re your Debit Card

Step 2: On the Language screen, Select ‘Generate PIN / Forgot PIN’ option

Step 3: Select ‘Generate OTP’ option

Step 4: Enter the registered mobile number

Step 5: Enter the Date of Birth as registered with the bank in DDMMYYYY format

The OTP will be delivered on your registered mobile number through SMS.

Generation of ATM PIN after OTP is received:

Step 1: Insert your Debit Card

Step 2: On the Language screen, Select ‘Generate PIN / Forgot PIN’ option

Step 3: Select ‘Already have OTP, Generate ATM PIN’ option

Step 4: Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number

Step 5: Enter your new ATM PIN

Step 6: Re-enter your new ATM PIN

The PIN will be successfully generated.

PIN generation through Net Banking:

Step 1: Log into your Net Banking Account using User ID and Password > Click on MY CARD PIN > Debit Card PIN > Generate now > Enter the required details and Submit.

Step 2: OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number.

Step 3: Enter Debit Card grid values, enter OTP and click on ‘Submit’

Step 4: Enter a 4 digit card PIN, re-confirm the Debit Card PIN and click on 'Generate now'

PIN generation through iMobile:

Login to ICICI Bank iMobile app > Click on Smartkeys & Services > Click on Card Services > Generate Debit Card PIN. Enter the required details and ‘Submit’.

For transacting at an ATM, insert (swipe) your ATM / Debit Card in the ATM and enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) and follow the onscreen instructions.

You can pay your Credit Card bills at any ICICI Bank ATM via the below path:

  • More Options > Credit Card/Loans Payments > Select product as Credit Card > Enter your 15 or 16 digit Credit Card number > Enter the amount you wish to pay > Confirm > Collect confirmation receipt.

You can pay towards your Loan EMIs at any ICICI Bank ATMs via the path below:

  • More Options > Credit Card/Loans Payments > Select product as Home Loans or Other Loans > Enter the 11-digit numeric part of the Loan Account Number (LAN) > Enter the amount you wish to pay > Confirm > Collect confirmation receipt.

Yes, after a successful transaction, payments would reflect instantly on your Credit Card.

In a day you can transfer amount upto ₹1 lakh.

Yes, you can withdraw the funds, however by default your primary account will be debited.

For discrepancy cases in an ICICI Bank ATM:

If the cash is not received or if less cash is received from an ICICI Bank ATM, we request you to wait for 2 hours and the amount would be reversed to your account automatically. If the disputed amount is not refunded to your account after 2 hours, call our Customer Care from your registered mobile number.

For discrepancy cases in a non-ICICI Bank ATM:

If the cash is not received from other bank ATM's, we request you to call our Customer Care from your registered mobile number to register the complaint. To know the local Customer Care numbers, please.

Yes, premature withdrawal is allowed as per existing Terms and Conditions, subject to premature withdrawal penalty as applicable.

Customers with joint Savings Account with mode of operation - Either or Survivor can request for FD creation through the ATM channel.

FD creation request will be processed instantly through ATM.

All resident Indian & NRI customers, who have ICICI Bank Resident Savings or Salary Account, holding a Debit Card and PIN can apply for an FD through ATM. Current Account holders do not have the facility to open an FD through an ATM channel.

No. After a successful transaction, Loan payments would reflect in your statement in a maximum of 3 working days.

Yes. As per RBI guidelines, ICICI Bank will credit the incorrectly debited amount within a period of 5 days from the date of transaction. However, in cases wherein the Bank fails to re-credit the account within 5 days from the date of the said ATM transaction, a compensation at ₹100 per day will be paid by the Bank to the customer, from the date of transaction.

As per the RBI instruction, the issuing bank may re-credit such wrongly debited amounts within a maximum period of 5 working days.

As per the RBI guidelines, the issuing bank may credit the amount of a failed transaction within a maximum period of 5 working days.

For all such issues, you may lodge a complaint with the local Banking Ombudsman if the Bank does not respond.

The customer has an option to reset the PIN through the iMobile app or he/she may contact Customer Care/branch.

PIN is the numeric password for use at the ATM. The PIN is separately mailed/handed over to the customer by the Bank while issuing the card. This PIN has to be reset to a new PIN by the customer.

Most banks mandate the customers to change the PIN on the first use. The PIN number should not be written on the card, card holder etc. as in such cases the card can be misused if the card is lost/stolen.

The ATM/Debit Cards issued by banks in India should be enabled for use at any bank ATM within India.

The ATM Cards/Debit Cards, Credit Cards and Prepaid Cards(that permit cash withdrawal) can be used at ATMs for various transactions.

Automated Teller Machine is a computerised machine that provides bank customers the facility of accessing their accounts for dispensing cash and to carry out other financial transactions without the need of actually visiting a bank branch.
