No, you can use Money2India even if you don’t have an ICICI Bank NRI account. Simply register on Money2India and send money from any bank In USA to any bank in India.

What are the transfer charges?

Zero transfer fess are applicable on transfers of USD 1000 and above.

What are different types of transfer options available and how do I choose which one to use?

There are three types of transfer options that are auto selected by system basis certain eligibility parameters such as loyalty tier, transfer amount, etc. You will be shown the transfer type and the time taken to credit your recepient in India on the review page before you submit your order:

1. Express Transfer : Transaction is usually completed within 4 hours using ACH authorization.

2. E- Transfer : Transaction is usually completed within 5 business days using ACH authorization.

3. Power Transfer : This is typically used for high value transfers and requires you to send a domestic wire transfer to ICICI Bank account held with Bank of New York Mellon to initiate the money transfer to your recipient or beneficiary in India. Power transfers are usually completed within 1 business day of receiving the funds from your bank in United States.

Who can I send money to in India?

You can send money to any individual or business in India including your own NRE/NRO bank accounts for personal reasons such as family maintenance, investments, paying insurance premiums, purchase real estate, etc.

For business transactions, you will need to register as business. For queries on business transactions, please visit the Business Accounts FAQ section.

Kindly note that sending money to charitable trusts or organizations is presently not available.
