List of Address Proof & NRI Status Proof Documents

Address Proofs to be submitted in the name of each Applicant. 

Permanent Address Proof (Any one Officially Valid Document (OVD)):
  • Indian Passport

  • Overseas Passport and OCI card

  • Driving Licence

  • Proof of possession of Aadhaar number

  • Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India

  • Job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government

  • Letter issued by the National Population Register 

Communication Address Proof (Any one):
  • Indian Passport
  • Overseas Passport and OCI card
  • Driving licence
  • Proof of possession of Aadhaar number
  • Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India
  • Job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government
  • Letter issued by the National Population Register

OR

 

  • Proof of Overseas address, in case the customer prefers to have his / her deliverables sent across to the address different from the OVD

    • Employment Permit / Resident Permits / National / State ID / Population Card / extract bearing address
    • Tax Certificate/Notice/Challan/Demand/Receipt bearing the address (including Income tax); Property/ Council Tax/Sewage Tax.
    • Voter / Electoral registration card / letter having address
    • Trade / Commercial License issued by Municipal or any other government body
    • Registered Property / title deed / Purchase Agreement for own property

Non Residential Status Proof (Any one):
  • Valid Employment Visa / Work Permit / Residence Permit / Card (including e-VISA)

  • US Naturalization Certificate / Advance parole / Employment Authorization Document for Optional Practical Training (OPT) to students

  • Single Entry Visa with name of sponsor in GCC country

  • CDC / C1D visa for Seafarers#

  • The OCI / PIO Card establishes the Non Resident status

*In the absence of OCI / PIO Card, any of the following documents evidencing India connect will be required:


  • Expired Indian Passport of Spouse / Mother / Father / Grandparents with valid relationship proof

  • Certificate issued by Indian Embassy or Consulate providing PIO / OCI status

  • Place of birth is in “India”
