Mandatory renewal is required under RBI guidelines. Complete the process before the deadline to avoid service disruption.
NRI Bank Locker Agreement Renewal
As per RBI guidelines (issued on August 18, 2021), banks must implement a new locker agreement and renew it with customers by December 31, 2023.
If you have a Safe Deposit Locker with ICICI Bank, you need to renew your agreement. You can download the agreement here and complete the process by visiting or sending the required documents to an ICICI Bank branch in India.
Renewal Process
If you are in India
Visit an ICICI Bank branch to complete the renewal formalities.
Ensure that all account holders, including joint holders, sign the agreement.
If you are abroad
Download, print, and sign the agreement.
Single Account Holders: Send the signed agreement directly to the ICICI Bank branch in India.
Joint Account Holders (if one holder is a resident Indian):
Send the signed agreement to the resident holder in India.
The resident holder can then submit it to an ICICI Bank branch.
Once the agreement is received, the bank will complete stamp paper formalities. Stamp duty charges (as per state laws) must be borne by the customer.
