How to apply for an NRI Account?

You can apply for an NRI Account either through our Assisted Journey with the help of a Relationship Manager or through a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Journey online.

  • Live Assistance: Get help over a call to fill the account opening form and KYC documentation.
  • Account Opened: Your account is opened after successful scrutiny of KYC documents.

What are the eligibility criteria for the NRI Premium Programme?

You are eligible for the ICICI Bank NRI Premium Programme if you agree to Maintain any one of the below:

Maintain Deposits* + Account Balance of ₹ 25 Lac OR

Deposits* + Account Balance + Mutual funds AUM^ + Demat holdings of ₹ 1Cr

*Deposits include Fixed Deposits/Recurring Deposits

^AUM - Assets under Management

How to access airport lounges ?

Things to note when availing International lounge access by Premium Customers:

  • Mention ‘Loungekey’ to the Airport lounge operator when availing the service, ensure that Loungekey terminal is being used by the lounge operator.
  • International Ecom & POS flag is enabled prior via Internet Banking/Mobile app.
  • A $35 pre-authorization amount is generally deducted by Service provider and refunded thereafter, hence maintain sufficient balance in card linked NRE account.
  • Only the cardholder visit is free. Any additional guests will be charged.
  • Card type, utilization limits, lounge TnCs as applicable.

How can I upgrade my account to the NRI Premium Programme? Will I receive a new ATM-cum-Debit Card upon becoming an NRI Premium Programme customer?

To become a NRI Premium Programme customer,

-If you already hold the requisite balances in your account, you can upgrade your account by placing a request at your nearest ICICI Bank branch or calling our Customer Care.

-If you don’t hold the requisite balances in your account, fund your account to ensure the required balances and then place the request at your nearest ICICI Bank branch or call our Customer Care.

-You have an option to continue with the existing card or the new ICICI Bank World Debit Card will be sent to you on your specific request only. You can apply for the ICICI Bank World Debit Card through any of the following ways:

  • Call our Customer Care
  • Place a request through your Internet banking account
  • Walk into any ICICI Bank branch in India and submit your request

Am I required to sign any declaration before enrolling in the NRI Premium Programme?

Yes, to enroll in the NRI Premium Programme, you are required to complete and sign the necessary application forms, which may include declarations about your NRI status and agreement to the programme's terms and conditions. It's important to read and understand all declarations before signing.

What is NRI Family Banking?

ICICI Bank's NRI Family Banking allows NRI customers to group their family members' accounts under a single Family ID, enabling collective maintenance of balances and access to enhanced banking benefits. The primary member should be an NRI Select or Premium Account holder, and family members can include parents, spouses, children, grandparents, grandchildren, in-laws, and siblings.

Can two Savings Accounts be linked under an NRI Family ID?

 Yes, two Savings Account holders can form a Savings Account Family ID. However, the NRI Premium customer ID must be the primary customer ID in the NRI Premium Family ID.

What are the debit card benefits?

Under NRI Premium programme you are eligible for

Is interest earned taxable?
