Individual members of SHGs in rural areas
To reduce poverty by building institutions for the poor, particularly women and enable these institutions to access a range of financial and livelihood services. DAY-NRLM focuses on building, nurturing and strengthening institutions, including SHGs and their federations at village level and above.
Vintage of minimum 6 months
Practising ‘Panchasutras’ i.e., regular meetings, savings and inter-loaning, timely repayment and up-to-date books of accounts
Qualify as per grading norms fixed by NABARD
Existing non-operational SHGs are also eligible for credit, if revived and continue to be active for a minimum period of three months.
Loans up to ₹10 lakh to individual members of select top-performing SHGs (which are more than 2 years old and have availed at least one bank loan with timely repayment as per their lending policy)
Individuals should be running a viable economic enterprise.

Applicant must visit Rural Local Bodies (RLBs) or Self-Help Promoting Institutions (SHPIs) to apply for loans under the NRLM Scheme.
