How can I update PAN details on my Prepaid Card?

PAN details can be updated through any of the below modes:

  • Downloading the Pockets app
  • By sending an e-mail at prepaidsupport@icicibank.com
  • By sending an e-mail to your Relationship Manager.
  • How can I update my PAN details through the Pockets app?

    For updation of PAN, download and register on the Pockets app from your registered mobile number.

    How can I update my PAN details through e-mail?

    To update PAN details on your Prepaid Card, send a PAN updation request mentioning your complete Card number and PAN number, along with a self-attested PAN Card copy from your registered e-mail ID to prepaidsupport@icicibank.com or your RM’s e-mail ID.

    What is RBI DEAF Scheme?

    As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Circular on Depositor Education Awareness Fund (DEAF) dated Mar 21, 2014, funds in accounts/ deposits/ cards that are inoperative/ unclaimed for 10 years or more will be transferred to RBI's DEAF Scheme. For example: A card has expired on Jan 1, 2015. The unutilised balance on this card will be due for transfer to the RBI DEAF Scheme on or after Jan 1, 2025. The cardholder will receive quarterly reminders through SMS/E-mail to claim the unutilised funds before that date. Note: Please ignore SMS/E-mail if you have already claimed the refund or new replacement card has been issued.

    How can I claim the unutilised amount of my ICICI Bank Card?

    You can claim any unutilised amount by:

    • Writing to us at customer.care@icicibank.com from your registered e-mail ID
    • Calling our Customer Care on 18001080
    • Visiting any Branch

     

    Note: Please ignore SMS/E-mail if you have already claimed the refund or new replacement card has been issued.

    How can I initiate a request for a replacement of my card?

    Request for replacement card can be initiated by calling our Customer Care on 18001080

    Can I get a refund for the unutilised amount?

    Yes, you can get a refund of the unutilised amount/ card replacement. However, this is as per the discretion of the Bank based on the type of product and other details as the case may be.

    How can I initiate a refund request?

    You can initiate a refund request by submitting the required documents through your registered e-mail ID to customer.care@icicibank.com or by visiting any ICICI Bank Branch. However, the refund is as per the discretion of the Bank based on the type of product and other details as the case may be.

    What are the documents required for a refund process to be initiated?

    Documents required for a refund process to be initiated are:

    • Request letter (format attached in Annexure)
    • Cancelled cheque
    • Self attested ID proof

    What are the documents required for a claim in case the cardholder is deceased:

    Documents required for a claim are:

    • Request letter (format attached in Annexure)
    • Cancelled cheque
    • Cardholder’s death certificate
    • Document establishing relationship of legal heir with the Cardholder/Succession Certificate
    • Nominee/legal heir photo ID proof

    How can I update KYC/Re-KYC for my Prepaid Card?

    a) In case of No change in KYC information


    Complete Re-KYC by sending an e-mail from your registered ID to prepaidsupport@icicibank.com mentioning ‘No change in KYC information’.

    Please refer to the sample format below:

    How can I reactivate my inactive Prepaid Card?

    You can reactivate their ICICI Bank Prepaid Card by sending an SMS from your registered mobile number with the below keywords to 5676766 or 9215676766.

    What document can I provide as ID and Address proof?

    You can submit any one of the following documents as an ID and Address proof:

    • Aadhaar Card

    • Passport (valid)

    • Driving Licence

    • Voter ID Card

    What is an OVD (Officially Valid Document)?

    As per RBI guidelines, the below documents are considered OVDs:

    • Aadhaar Card

    • Passport (valid)

    • Driving Licence

    • Voter ID Card

       

    Any of the above documents is eligible as an ID and Address proof.

    I have received communication from ICICI Bank for updation of OVD / ID and Address proof. What should I do?

    As per RBI guidelines, OVD / ID and Address proof is mandatory for Full KYC Prepaid Cards. In case you have received communication from ICICI Bank for updation of ID and Address proof, please contact the Bank to update the same using the Re-KYC options.

    What will happen in case I do not update OVD / ID and Address proof in my Prepaid Card?

    As per RBI guidelines, availability of ID and Address proof is mandatory in Full KYC Prepaid Cards. In case ID and Address proof is not updated against your Prepaid Card even after the Bank has issued you a notification regarding the same, the Bank will have to restrict the uses of the Card or consider blocking the Card to avoid any unauthorised use. This is as per regulatory guidelines.

    How can I update the ID and Address proof against my Prepaid Card?

    ID and Address proof can be updated through the Full KYC process. For completion of full KYC process and updation of ID and Address proof, please contact your Relationship Manager (RM) with the below details:

    • Cardholder Name

    • Card Number

    • Registered Mobile Number

    • Complete Address

    • Preferred Time to Contact

       

    Alternatively, you can e-mail us at prepaidsupport@icicibank.com with the above details. Post receiving the details, our registered business correspondent agent will visit your address at your preferred time to update the Re-KYC.

    What happens if I do not update my KYC?

    If the KYC process is not completed, your Prepaid Card will be blocked and you will not be able to load or use the Card, as per regulatory guidelines.

    How do I know if my documents have been successfully updated?

    You will receive a confirmation SMS / e-mail once your KYC documents have been verified and updated in our records.

    Is there any charge for updating my KYC documents?

    No, updating KYC documents is free of cost.

    Do I need to update my PAN for my Prepaid Card?

    Yes. As per RBI guidelines, updation of PAN is mandatory for Prepaid Cards. In case you are a PAN Card holder, the same is required to be mandatorily updated against your Prepaid Card.
