The ICICI Bank Companion Card is an EMV chip & PIN technology based pre-paid card, which can be loaded in rupees. The card does not have any minimum balance requirement and it offers you the flexibility of using it at all the VISA ATMs and merchant outlets in India as well as for making e-commerce (online) transactions.

How to buy an ICICI Bank Companion Card?
Steps to avail a Companion Card*:
Log in to the ICICI Bank iMobile Pay app
Select ‘Cards & Forex’ from the dashboard → Companion Card → Apply Now
Select your Savings Account
Click on ‘Select Card’ to proceed
*Note: To avail a Companion Card, it is required to have the cKYC number of your Savings Account updated. To update cKYC number, visit the nearest ICICI Bank Branch.
You will avail the Companion Card within 5 working days at your doorstep.
You can place a request at our Customer Care for the replacement card. The new card will be issued and the available balance will be transferred to the new card within 11 working days. Replacement charges of Rs 199 + service tax will be levied on the new card. As soon as you get your replacement card, generate your PIN through the iMobile Pay app.
To set PIN online, follow these simple steps:
Log in to the iMobile Pay app
Select ‘Cards & Forex’ from the dashboard → Companion Card → ‘Set PIN’
Alternatively, you can also place a refund request with our Customer Care for the available balance on the card and the amount will be credited into the Savings Account you have used to avail the card. The available balance on the card will be credited into your Account within 7 working days. All refund requests have to be placed within 3 months from the card expiry date i.e. ‘Valid Thru’ as printed on the card.
Yes, there is a daily minimum and maximum transaction limit on your card which will depend on the channel, which you are using for the transaction.

Your ICICI Bank Companion Card comes with zero lost-card liability. Report loss of the card to our Customer Care as soon as you come to know of it. You can block the card through iMobile Pay or we will block the card for you and thus prevent any further usage. We will then provide you with a replacement card. Generate your PIN through iMobile Pay as soon as you get your replacement card.
How to activate the Companion Card after making the purchase?
You need to activate the card for the first time after making the purchase through iMobile Pay.
Steps to activate a Companion Card:

Provide consent to debit account and select ‘Get OTP’

The amount will be deducted from your linked Savings Account and will be loaded into the ICICI Bank Companion Card. Your card will be active instantly. Once you receive the physical card, you can use it for payments at POS terminals, e-commerce transactions and cash withdrawals from ATMs.

You need to activate the card for the first time after making the purchase through iMobile Pay. You can use the card after you receive the physical card within 5 working days of the purchase of the card through iMobile Pay. The card can then be used for payments at POS terminals, e-commerce transactions and cash withdrawals from ATMs.
In case of 3 incorrect PIN attempts, your card will be disabled. You can re-activate your card by calling Customer Care. If you enter the incorrect PIN thrice, some ATMs may retain your card and you may need to contact the ATM operator to collect your card. In such cases, you can call the Customer Care to avail a replacement card.
No, there are no charges on reloading your card. There are also no restrictions applicable on the number of re-loadings. However, the maximum amount that can be loaded on your card is Rs 1 lakh.

The validity of the card is 5 years from the data of issue i.e. “Valid From” as printed on the card.
You may log in to your iMobile app using your user ID & password and apply for a Companion Card of your choice under CARDS AND FOREX section
The maximum available balance in your card should not exceed INR 1,00,000 at any time. There is no minimum balance that can be loaded.
To change the limit for your card, you may login to iMobile Pay using your user ID and password. Alternately, you may call our Customer Care and make a request. Our Customer Care Executive will take your request and it will be completed within 5 working days. The Customer Care number is 022 50405238.

ICICI Bank Companion Card comes with enhanced security of EMV Chip & PIN technology. Additionally, you are required to sign on the charge slip (produced by the Electronic Data Capture machine at the time of purchase) to complete a transaction at the merchant outlet. The merchant has to match this signature with the signature on the signature panel on the reverse of the card. Transactions at merchant outlets are thus protected by your signature. You must ensure that you sign on the signature panel as soon as you receive the card.
To withdraw cash from an ATM, first look for the "VISA" or "Plus" logo on the ATM. At an ATM where the logo is present:
Insert the card in the card slot as advised on the ATM panel. The ATM will ask you for your PIN
Enter the ATM-PIN of you card. Once your ATM-PIN is validated, the machine will prompt you to enter the amount of cash you wish to withdraw
Enter the amount of cash you need. If your ICICI Bank Companion Card has sufficient funds, the machine will dispense the requested cash.
Most ATMs have the facility to check the balance on the card. However, you may also check the same in your iMobile app.
If you forget your ATM-PIN, you can reset the PIN by logging in to iMobile Pay app. Alternately, you may call our Customer Care and ask to reset your PIN.
