What design and personalisation options are available for the card?

You may choose from 150+ gallery images or upload your own photograph (subject to guidelines). The card can carry your selected image and still function as a full-fledged debit card.

What is the validity period of the Expressions Debit Card?

The card is valid for 7 years from the date of issue, in line with chip validity guidelines.

Where can I apply for the Expressions Debit Card?

You can apply online via the ICICI Bank website/Internet Banking, through the mobile app, or at any branch.

What documents are required if I upload my own image for the card?

You must ensure your image complies with the bank’s image-upload rules: no copyrighted/trademarked content, no celebrities, obscene or inappropriate images; upload will be reviewed.

Who is eligible for the Expressions Debit Card?

Any account holder with an active ICICI Bank savings account and completed KYC is eligible. Some age or account-type criteria may apply as per variant.

Which KYC documents do I need to apply for this card?

You need valid identity proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, etc.) and address proof as per bank policy, and your savings account must be KYC-compliant.

No fee is charged by ICICI Bank for using the card at retail or online transactions. However, specific merchant categories like fuel or railways may levy merchant-surcharge.

What is the fee for replacement or renewal of the card?

A replacement/re-issuance fee of ₹200 (+ GST) applies if you request a new card due to loss/damage. The validity renewal is part of the expiry cycle and may incur the standard fee.

Are there charges for online usage or withdrawals?

Online usage is free; cash withdrawals at ATMs may incur standard ATM charges if you exceed your free limits or use non-ICICI ATMs.

What is the joining fee and annual fee for Expressions Debit Card?

The joining fee is ₹499 (+ GST) and the annual fee from the second year onwards is also ₹499 (+ GST) for the Expressions Debit Card.

Can I convert debit-card purchases made on the Expressions Debit Card into EMIs?

No — since it is a debit card (not credit), EMI conversion is not supported.

What should I do if my card is lost/stolen or the image is misused?

Immediately block the card via mobile app, internet banking or call customer care; then apply for replacement. The image aspect does not affect liability; card transactions follow standard security rules.

Can I restrict certain types of transactions (e.g., international, online) on my card?

Yes — via mobile app or internet banking you can block/unblock international usage, online usage, chip or swipe, or set custom limits for better control.

What security features does the Expressions Debit Card have?

Features include EMV chip & PIN, optional contactless (if supported), generation of PIN and CVV controls, transaction alerts and possibly 3-D Secure for online payments.

Are there any residual balances to refund when the card is replaced?

Balances reside in your savings account; card replacement does not require “balance refund” but you must check all pending transactions are settled before closure/replacement.

What happens when my Expressions Debit Card expires or I want to close it?

On expiry you will receive a renewal card; you may request closure by paying outstanding charges, returning the card, and ensuring no pending transactions. Refunds of unutilised balances aren’t applicable since debit cards draw directly from the linked account.

Daily/transaction limits exist for ATM withdrawals, POS and e-commerce spending. These limits vary by account type and may be modified upon request.

Can I change my usage limits (ATM, POS, online) for the card?

Yes — you can request limit changes via Internet Banking, mobile app or branch; limit changes are usually processed within 24 hours.

Is there an instant/virtual version of the Expressions Debit Card?

While the physical card is standard, activation is immediate once the card is issued. Any virtual overlay depends on bank’s digital wallet features; check latest offerings.

Can I get additional cards (e.g., for family) under the Expressions variant?

Additional or joint debit card options depend on your savings account and variant rules. Upgrading to family cards may be possible via branch or mobile banking.

How do I activate my Expressions Debit Card after issuance?

Can I transfer the card design I chose to another account?

No — the card design is linked to a specific account and card request; a new request must be made for another account.

Will the card image change if I upgrade account tier or variant?

Upgrading the card variant may require a new issuance; you should re-submit image selection under the new variant.

Are there mobile‐wallet or contactless (tap) features associated with the card?

Depending on the variant, the card may support contactless tap payments and may be linked to mobile wallets for digital usage.

What is the process if my chosen image is rejected?

If the uploaded image fails the bank’s guidelines, you will be notified. You must select a compliant image and submit a revised request to proceed.

Can I register multiple mobile numbers for alerts on the Expressions Debit Card?

Only one mobile number and one email ID can be registered as per card rules; update any changes via mobile banking or branch.

Can I use the Expressions Debit Card internationally?

Yes — it works internationally wherever Visa/MasterCard is accepted. Foreign transaction charges and currency conversion fees apply.
