What does car insurance cover?

  • Natural calamities: Any kind of loss happened due to fire, explosion, self-ignition, lightning, earthquakes, floods, typhoons, hurricanes, storms, cyclones, hailstorms, frost, landslides and rockslides.

  • Man-made calamities: Damage due to man-made issues like burglary, theft, riots, strikes, malicious acts, terrorism, and transit damage by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air.

  • Personal accident cover: Up to ₹15 Lakhs coverage for the driver while traveling, mounting or dismounting from the vehicle, along with optional coverage for co-passengers.

  • Third party legal liability: Protection against legal liabilities for permanent injury or death of individuals and damage to surrounding property.
