How to get onboarded?

Sales Proposal

Our Business Team shares a detailed sales pitch and commercial proposal tailored to your requirements.

Consent Letter & Agreement

Submit a signed Consent Letter on your company’s letterhead along with the executed agreement between ICICI Bank and your organization.

Settlement Account

Open a current account with ICICI Bank for T+1 working day settlements or if there is existing account then it can be used

API Integration

Share your API details (fetch, payment, and status) for integration. ICICI team supports API development and configuration.

UAT Testing

Once API integration is complete, UAT is conducted in sandbox environment. Test cases are certified by NBBL’s certification team and client before moving to production.

Go-LIVE on Bharat Connect

Once UAT logs are approved, NBBL makes Biller-LIVE in weekly MDM release.

What is BHARAT CONNECT?

BHARAT CONNECT is a unified bill payment platform managed by NBBL Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL) that lets you pay recurring bills securely through multiple digital and offline channels.

What types of bills can I collect?

You can collect for electricity, mobile postpaid, DTH, water, gas, loans, broadband, insurance, municipal taxes, education fees, and more over 20+ categories approved by RBI.

Which payment modes are supported?

End consumers can pay via all major payment modes including UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards, wallets, QR, cash at branches or kiosks, ATMs, and through business correspondents.

Who can onboard as a biller on BHARAT CONNECT through ICICI Bank?

Any registered entity offering recurring or one-time bill payments (e.g., utility, insurance, education, loan EMI, etc.) can onboard via ICICI Bank’s Bharat Connect platform, subject to NBBL category eligibility

What documents are required for onboarding?

You’ll need a signed Consent Letter on company letterhead, a current account with ICICI Bank for settlements, onboarding form along with API details for onboarding. NBFCs also need to submit their RBI license copy.

How long does it take to go live on BHARAT CONNECT?

API integration including testing takes 6-8 working days provided there’s no error faced in UAT. NBBL makes Biller LIVE in weekly MDM release. Front-end Apps have 14 days TAT for App updation

Is there any testing before going live?

Yes. UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is done in a sandbox environment after receiving the Biller ID from NBBL. All API flows must be validated before production access is given.

What is the settlement process?

All collections are settled in a T+1 cycle to a designated current account with ICICI Bank. Real-time payment status is provided via API.
