Things you should know

  • Beneficiary’s MMID

    The beneficiary’s MMID is required for IMPS transfers using mobile number and MMID. This is not required for account number and IFSC based IMPS transactions.

  • Generate MMID

    Generate MMID via Net Banking or SMS: MMID [space] <last 4 digits of your account number> to 9222208888

     

  • Chargeable

Can I use IMPS without beneficiary registration?

Yes. Beneficiary registration is not required if you transfer funds using your Mobile Number + MMID via ICICI Bank's iMobile app. However, for IMPS using Account Number + IFSC, adding the beneficiary is mandatory.

What if the transaction fails?

In case of failure, the debited amount is normally reversed instantly, but in rare cases, it may take up to 2 days.
