Defence Pension Scheme

The Defence Pension is a pension fund for the three wings of the armed forces and the civilian employees working in Defence establishments, where the Government of India contributes on behalf of the employee with an aim of retirement planning of the Defence personnel.

 

ICICI Bank has received formal authorization/ permission from the Ministry of Defence whereby the individual pensioners could receive their monthly pensions through their ICICI Bank accounts

 

PCDA, Allahabad and PCDA Pune issue the Pension Payment Orders (PPO) The PPOs are sent through linked ICICI Bank branches to the Pension Paying Branches mentioning the Pension Account number which the pensioner has already furnished.

 

Pension is periodically paid through the Central Pension Processing Cell, Mumbai

 

 

Documents Required

  • Identity proof

  • Address proof

  • 1 photographs (passport size)

  • If you already have an account with ICICI Bank, you can use the same account

  • Else, submit the Savings Account Form along with KYC documents to open a new account, which is described in left side

  • Submit the account number and the name of the account holding branch to the Head of Office (HOO) or Record Officer (RO) in the organization

What is Jeevan Pramaan/Digital Life certificate?

Digital Life certificate can be submitted at the branches through Jeevan Pramaan app

If I have missed submitting the life certificate for one year, what is the process to re-initiate the pensions

  • Life certificates should be submitted at any branch (format in forms and formats)
  • Branch will raise an SR to CPPC under the path: IR > Liabilities > submission of Pension Document.
  • Pensions will be re-initiated from the time the account was frozen for pensions.
